The Project named Trigeneration with Geothermal energy, Hydrogen and Renewable Energies (TOGETHER) and with reference RTC-2017-5926-3, is a Project funded by the Collaboration Challenges of the State Program of Research 2017, Development and Innovation Oriented to the Challenges of the Society, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016 of the State Research Agency (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities), co-financed with FEDER Funds.
The TOGETHER project, coordinated by GEOTER, seeks to improve energy efficiency in air conditioning, sanitary hot water (DHW) generation and electricity supply through the technological and research development of a versatile and modular system that includes the fields of energy generation, storage, and use, based on the combination of EE.RR. and of the hydrogen cycle in heat and cold cogeneration systems with geothermal and absorption machines.
The developments of the project will be studied in two laboratories with different working conditions and the global system in a living-lab, under real conditions of use. At the same time, systems will be developed for the direct use of the hydrogen generated in the equipment destined to the generation of DHW, heating and cooling in order to improve their performance. Work will be done on the use of microcogeneration equipment to optimize the cogeneration of electricity and heat of different powers and their validation in real applications.
