Rehabilitageosol

The REHABILITAGEOSOL Project. Energy efficiency through rehabilitation, the sun and geothermal energy (RTC-2016-5004-3) is a Project financed by the State Program of Research, Development and Innovation Oriented to the Challenges of Society, within the framework of the State Plan of Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016 of the State Research Agency (Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness), co-financed with ERDF Funds.

This project is carried out with the aim of providing a design tool that is effective, easy to access and simple to use to implement energy saving measures, the use of renewable energies and sources of heat and cold that are clean and efficient in the Autonomous Communities of Spain and the companies that make up this project, achieving a commercial product that can be used in other Autonomous Communities and countries.

With the measures described in the project, users and target markets have access to quality information about available resources and optimal measures for the correct dimensioning of the actions promoted by the competent bodies and the design and adequate dimensioning of new energy supply facilities and energy rehabilitation to reduce demand.

It has been observed that energy rehabilitation measures together with the implementation at the level of buildings and/or group of buildings are necessary in the optimization of energy generation technologies proposed to reduce demand and, therefore, the dimensioning of the same and consequently energy consumption.

REHABILITAGEOSOL promotes the use of the energies that currently have a smaller implantation but with a great and greater potential of application, in addition to better economic, environmental and energetic benefits. From this, it has been decided to include two technologies with great potential for implementation and high energy savings such as low enthalpy or shallow geothermal energy and solar thermal energy, which would achieve an enormous reduction in energy consumption with its origin in fossil fuels, along with rehabilitation.
